Customer ExpectationsÂ
No Gold Age Books At This Time...
What You Can Expect:

1) All Books Are Scanned and photographed Upon Arrival. Rest assured I am insured for each an every book I handle.
2) The Book is then carefully Wiped off to ensure it is free of debris. During this process the submitted book is evaluated for a optional humidity bath.
3) Optional 60% humidity bath for 10 minutes. Please note that not all books receive a humidity bath. Examples of possibly why a book would not receive one are as follows but, not limited to: signs of previous water damage, delicate or possible dethatching cover, staple rust, signs that the ink may run, and there are to many other possibilities to name here. My number one concern is the over all safety of your book. I will not ruin your book trying to improve its condition. I'd rather issue a refund and return it to you as is. Exposing paper to moister always brings some level of risk. You will not be notified weather humidity was or was not used.
4) Books then receive a press between 6061 aluminum plates. Pressure will not usually exceed 15-25 pounds. Heat and time verry upon age and comic over all condition. Modern books are generally 130 Deg F for 600 seconds. but please understand this is just a typical modern book. A high dollar modern book with a glossy cover will likely receive a short duration under less heat, while a thicker cardstock cover may receive more heat and time. Each book is given case by case consideration.
5) The aluminum stack is then removed and placed under even weight for 12 hours or as long as it takes for the book to be at room temperature for no less that 6 hours.
6) Freshly pressed comics are place in new bags and boards and packaged for either, submission to a grading company on your behalf, or return to customer. 1 comic per bag and board (I only use silver age bags and boards for any book silver age or newer.) Usually 5 or 6 books is the limit I will put in a single standard comic mailer. Books submitted to a grading company will be stacked according to the submission log you submitted with all books facing up. All books returning to customers will be shipped cover to cover and back to back. customer will need to provide all shipping supplies for grading submission. If all the proper supplies are not included you will be contacted and will absolutly cause delays.
7) Time considerations and exceptions:
Â
I strive to get every book completed as fast as I possible. please allow 2-3 weeks for handling, processing and cleaning.
Our Restoration Process
How do I get my books to Pressure point comics
Option 1) If your in the Fresno California area. Dropping them off is preferred. I always like to meet my customers face to face. I work out of my house so people find it comforting if they know where exactly there books are.

Option 2) Please register your account so I have means to contact you. Then complete your submission form. I will then email you back your submission form and address in which you are to mail your books to. I highly advise you to purchase insurance and tracking incase anything happens during shipping.Â
What happens once I receive your books.
Step 1) In bound deliveries are scanned in the order they are received. During this process they are looked over with scrutiny for any defect that makes them not a good candite for heat pressing. During this process I also compare your Submission report of existing issues to make sure their are no discrepancies. If in the off chance I find a major issue that was not disclosed on the submission report all work on your order stops. Phots will be sent to you to make you aware of the issue. only after you are informed about the issue will work resume.

Next your books are gently wiped clean with cotton rounds and heat pressed followed by 12 hours in a cold press under even weight.

After the book cools in the cold press I will look them over and scan them once again. Then I will send the return pictures to you. once you see the pictures send me a return email letting me know you are happy with your books. This is the point where you pay. I will package up your books depending on where you want them shipped to and mail them off as soon as possible. I usually have pickups scheduled 2 times per week.
